Didn't bother to watch most of last night's debacle that always is the Slammy's. They need to just keep them off TV and have it be announced on wwe.com

They could be good, if they had some fun with it. Instead, except for the Steve Harvey spoof, which I called, they did little. Plus, it's ridiculous that half the winners don't show.

I've been half-heartedly watching the last few weeks. I hope it's just the holiday lull, putting out a so-so product that I don't have time to watch anyway. I never cared much about Slammy awards either. Surely, things have to pick up after the new year with the Rumble drawing close.

So as it stands, Roman is the champ, Sheamus will get a rematch at RR. Triple H is involved. Someone huge like Lesnar or Bryan or Cena returns at some point. There's an Old School Raw thrown in for some Legends paychecks (RIP still Hot Rod). Undertaker may or may not return to build his (final?) WM match. Some work themselves into frenzy over "Why hasn't XYZ wrestler been put into the Hall yet? Travesty!"

    Did I miss anything?

Cena is coming back next week.

They're going to do Reigns-Triple H at Wrestlemania, I can just feel it. Double main event with Cena-Lesnar XVII.

The Divas Revolution will continue to be incoherent.

    Observer from Dec. 28:

    - Most of the Slammy Award winners aren’t there because the voting (surprisingly) is legit. There’s talk of closing the voting a week before the show, so that it would be easier to get people in. That’s also why there was weird stuff planned, like Neville getting newcomer of the year and being interrupted by Owens, who they thought would win.

    - Also at the end of the Slammys show, Stephanie was slapping announcer Tom Phillips. Fun fact: he has no wrestling training at all, and it’s unknown if he was warned ahead of time or not.

    - From readers, NXT Takeover got 100 percent approval (155 votes). Asuka vs. Emma was match of the night (104), with Finn Balor vs. Joe getting 45 votes. Ring of Honor’s Final Battle for 93.3 percent approval with 56 votes for, and 4 votes in the middle, no thumbs down.

    - Cody Hall (son of Scott) is getting good reviews for his work in Japan. He’s a lock to be with the WWE at some point.

    - Maria and Michael Bennett have been signed by TNA, for a guarantee higher than what ROH was paying them. ROH is facing a problem with keeping talent, since Michael Elgin, Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly, Jay Lethal and AJ Styles either have expired contracts and are working on per-dates, or their contracts are about to expire.

    - Styles managed to wrestle at the ROH PPV, but he was in a lot of pain after. He has the Toyko Dome show for New Japan, at which point, he might need back surgery or rest for herniated discs.

    - Mysterio is taking less dates with AAA in 2016 to focus on Lucha Underground. LU pays more, and Mysterio is worried about getting injured again.

    - TNA has had a “soft” debut on POP TV, as the network has started airing some best ofs and filler programming. They are building to a “real” debut on Jan. 5, which will have the semifinals and finals of the world title tournament.

    - Jeff Hardy is probably done with TNA. His contract expires on Feb. 28, and he’s openly talked about wanting to retire with the WWE. He’s currently out with a knee injury and won’t be healed by the time his contract expires. Matt Hardy’s contract also expires soon, although he’s in a better position in some ways than Jeff, because he’s saved his money and likes working less days in TNA vs. WWE.

    - Mike Tenay’s contract expires at the end of 2015. He hasn’t been used by TNA in months, even though he’s been an announcer since day one there.

Just thought it was appropriate, on this Christmas Day, to take a moment to remember the time the Ultimate Warrior knocked out and raped Santa Claus.

Speaking of Warrior, the FYE near me has his shirts and Hulk Hogan shirts 50 percent off.

Vince McMahon gets arrested for barely doing anything..... but Owens is allowed to assault Neville like that?

    Yes, I know it's wrestling.

That opening segment made low-budget porn stars look like Oscar winners.

I kept waiting for the cops to arrest Steph for slapping around the announcer last week.
