Before we get into Raw talk tonight, just wanted to say what a great job Reigns did beyond taking a hellacious beating like a pro. His expressions and reaction sold it well. The first third of the match, he had the "What truck just hit me?" face going. The second third, it switched to the "I can't believe this is happening" face. The final stretch, when he started laughing, was perfect -- the "Well, I'm getting my ass kicked but I'm at least going to go down swinging and get some shots in" approach.
His reactions were perfect for every phase of the match.

I just rewatched a good chunk of that match. I didn't see it before but I do now. Reigns is a star.
That match last night just made Roman Reigns. It really did. He and Lesnar told an absolutely incredible tale in the ring and, more importantly, told a story I've never seen told in 27 years of watching wrestling.
That was an amazing, amazing bout all around and the WWE has a wide open slate with which they can go from here.
I've got no problem with Reigns being champion by this point next year. He took a beating like a man and really sold himself better in that 30 minutes than in the years leading up to yesterday's show.
I'm really optimistic to see where this goes.

Daniel Bryan has won three in a row (two last year, one this year). Cena has also won three in a row.

    Agreed on Reigns.

Wasn't too keen on him entering Mania, but that guy made himself into a star with that match last night.

I'm not disputing that Reigns reactions were great. I thoroughly enjoyed the match and I thought he and Brock were both really good.

Didn't Cena give the same performance as Reigns at Summerslam though? That was my only real gripe. Once or twice during the match I thought this is a little too similar to SS.

Cena didn't come close to getting in as much offense as Reigns last night, IMHO. At no point during that match did I feel as if Cena could win. That wasn't the case last night.

It was similar, but IIRC Cena had a bit more of a "never give up" approach. Please pardon the cliche. I don't think Cena reached the point, or at least didn't sell it, that he'd accepted that this was not his night and was just going to have fun with it no matter what happened. I think Reigns' sell-job was a bit more realistic.

Glad to see the ass kicking heel Sheamus back in our lives. Even if the crowd was right about him. As my wife said, "He looks like a rooster."

Ironically, by turning everyone else's face about 90 degrees from center.
See you at Summerslam, Brock. Enjoy the summer off.

That segment was incredible with Brock. Saxton's done a horrible job of selling everything that's happened since. Jeez no wonder they're so married to Cole. Where's Lawler? Already seen two NXT guys get Graves out there on color.

I haven't been watching Smackdown regularly is he this bad on that? Is he overselling being "unprepared" because of Brock's destruction?
