Kuztnetsov has a bright future in this league.

    Or maybe it won't ...

NHL is all about the size of the TV markets. If Winnipeg and Calgary had faced off in the second round, those games would have shown in the U.S. on Wayne & Garth's Aurora cable station.

Anaheim is just as irrelevant to the NHL as is Winnipeg.

Yup. That was a pretty solid performance last night. Koozie is going to be the real deal. May already be.

Now they get the Rangers. Always the Rangers.

First time ever that the Caps and Wizards have advanced to the second round of the playoffs in the same season. That's incredible.

So the Rangers are without Mats Zuccarello indefinitely. ... he may or may not have a concussion. Injury news this time of year is more secure than our nuclear secrets. As a fan, I am hoping it is gamesmanship by the Rangers and that Zuccarello is OK. But I am prepared for the worst. That will move Marty St. Louis up to the first or second lines, and he looked older and older as the season went along. It's not the best news for them.

How much will Moddy spend on tickets to Caps-Rangers?

In related news, I do have two train vouchers I need to use soon......hmmmm

If you want to win a Cup, you've got to beat the Rangers at some point. Why not now?

Caps in 6 (because if I'm going homer, I'm not going homer with a Game 7 win in MSG)
    Lightning in 5
    Ducks in 5
    Hawks in 6

Minnesota over Chicago in 7. Not sure why I am picking it this way. Chicago has knocked Minnesota out the last 2 years and was the better team during the season.
Anaheim over Calgary in 5. Reality sets in for Calgary. I like Anaheim for the finals.
Canadiens over Lightning in 7. Carey Price is the difference.
Rangers over Caps in 6. A bit of a homer pick. These teams always play tough series and I can see Washington winning it. The Caps will try the rough and tumble style that worked against the Isles. The Rangers are a better team than the Isles.
