And the Caps damn near got a second goal in the final five minutes on another break away. If only that one had gone in...

Yeah, but it didn't. And this franchise has a history of punting 3-1 series leads. Done it four times, if memory serves. And yeah, this is the RANGERS and NOT the SABRES so you figure at some point they play great. My asshole remains tight.

If it does go 7, I may be able to get the SI tickets so I can die right square in the Garden.

Toss yourself onto the ice from the upper deck. It'll be more poetic that way.

Too much work involved to get there. The SI seats are about 8 rows behind the benches. So I'll have a great vantage point for the suffering

Don't know why you're worried about Game 7 tickets. There will be no more hockey played in New York this spring.

Screw hockey. I'm done. Forever. I got enough shit going on, I don't need this misery.

My brother-in-law, who is a Rangers fan, was telling me he wasn't optimistic about his team this afternoon. I reminded him that this is what the Capitals do.

Sorry Moddy. That team really does seem to exist to torture its fans.

    Fuuuuuuuccccccckkkkk!

There has to be a way to eke out a win without selling Moddy's soul to the devil.

I didn't feel quite as bad as you do bad after game 4, when the Rangers went down 3-1 for the series. But their 3 losses so far did frustrate me to no end. They felt cursed and I was just resigned to the season ending. I had a "what might have been" feeling.

It's the playoffs, so I know you need to earn the wins. And I have been impressed with how disciplined Washington has played most of the series. But I watched as much hockey this year as I have in years, and the Rangers were the better team -- by enough to make what I have seen frustrating beyond belief. I'll deal with a lost series to Montreal or Tampa or Anaheim (if they get to the finals) much better than losing a series to Washington.

It will be a gut punch if they lose game 7 at home after what they did to tie the series up. The pessimist sports fan in me tells me that their luck in these do-or-die games is set to run out, so I am not too high.

My thoughts on game 6. 1) The last 10 minutes with the Rangers hanging on was tough to watch. They were back on their heels. 2) Rick Nash sighting! I laughed it off as him showing up to get a meaningless goal when it went in, but they needed it.3) Marty St. Louis is giving as much as he can, and he hasn't been terrible (even if he keeps missing open nets), but just in the last half year he has really declined. I will be surprised if he is back next year -- I think it's sadly time to retire. 4) They sure have missed Mats Zuccarello on that top line. Things line up much better with him. Nash and Brassard feed off his energy. And they could have St. Louis down on the third, or even the fourth line, where they don't need as much from him.

    Wednesday night, Moddy. It's on.

I'm rooting for the Rangers because Captain Morgan plays for them.
