"He's certainly in the mold of Jason Kidd," Miami coach Erik Spoelstra said of Carter-Williams. "You can see why they tried to acquire him. He has great size at that position, terrific vision, he makes other players better, you can play him in different areas in the court, he can play in the post, he can play in transition. And he's extremely disruptive defensively with his size and length."

What does Kidd see in Carter-Williams?

And Buddy Hield is the next Steph Curry.

Whatever happened to baby Jordan Harold Miner?

If I were Hield I would start making fun of Trump.

    1) Opposing coaches aren't usually in the business of providing accurate scouting reports on players. I'm sure Spoelstra didn't add, "And hey, by the way, he can't fucking shoot, so he's not going to put up numbers the second he's off a bad team."

    2) I might be mistaken, but at the time of that trade with the Bucks, I think plenty of people saw past the fact that MCW had won Rookie of the Year and didn't think he had a ton more room to grow as a player. He might have been compared to Jason Kidd by some, but I think it's more because he was a point guard without a jump shot that *could* develop one, as opposed to saying he was right then and there a triple-double threat each night.

Not unlike every 6-10 perimeter white guy being compared to Dirk Nowitzki.

Totes. Making 40% of his FG attempts proved how great a shooter Kidd was.

If only there were other things he contributed.

I think you know that I know that. I based that comment on what sgreenwell wrote about shitty shooting.

Wait, really? That's the Carmelo trade all over again. Why trade two of your best pieces for a guy who has a good shot to come to you for free?
