The three who didn't vote for Griffey should have their voting rights revoked. Same for those who voted for Eckstein and Garrett Anderson.

It is possible that the three who didn't vote for Griffry thought 10 others were deserving.

Earl Bloom is the Anderson vote. He did vote 10 -- Anderson, Bagwell, Edmonds, Griffey, Hoffman, Edgar, McGwire, Piazza, Raines, Smith. Will be an interesting vote next time because half is ballot is gone.

We don't even know that they voted for 10.

So you're saying it's possible that the three that didn't vote for Griffey thought 10 others were deserving?

I'm saying the first question is if each of those voted for 10 other players. Any who did not, Costas is right. That person's ballot should be revoked.

Anything's possible. I do think it is very unlikely that there wasn't at least one case of some jackass deciding to leave Griffey off simply because he or she does not think anybody should ever get in unanimously.

And if it was a strategic vote to give it to somebody with no shot of getting in? Sorry, that's wrong, too.

Which is why I said "possible."

A little reading comprehension goes a long way.

I'm glad you realize that because the failure in reading comprehension was on your end, not mine.

I was simply pointing out one of the uncertainties involved.

Your reading comprehension skills leave much to be desired.

Clearly, Dick and I screwed up, and the error is possibly not on your end.

You asked for clarification. No mistake there.

Dick is being Dick. Whether you believe that is an error or not depends on your opinion of message board trolling. I would prefer that he not do it on this thread. We could do without that crap on the Hall of Fame thread the day of the announcement.

Looking at raw totals, Piazza actually lost 19 votes from 2015. Bagwell gained nine, Raines gained five. Schilling gained 15. Clemens and Bonds actually lost voters (7 apiece). Mussina gained 54, Edgar gained 43, Trammell gained 42!!
