    He has been outstanding defensively at first base.

    Not arguing against that at all. But he still can't throw, and I assume it's something physical that doctors should have fixed a long time ago. I get not having it fixed during the season, but he's had a number of off-seasons now to have it addressed. And he's still not a player I'm comfortable with at first if you're in an infield-in situation where you have to come home with the ball.

    Sure woulda been nice to have a starting pitcher go more than three innings, Dodgers.

    It's a degenerative condition. "Arthritic," they were calling it at one time. There's no fix.

    And bring in your setup guy? Yeah, I know I was part of the WTF was Showalter Thinking brigade, but unless you have no confidence in your hitters vs. Scherzer, huh?

    Also pretty weak offensively for a 1B. He got old quickly.
