    Cubs over Dodgers in 6.
    Indians over Jays in 5.

Cubs always play things close to the vest. I'd be surprised if Hendricks wasn't back, but you never know.

I'm hoping they replace Lackey with a Montgomery/Zastryzny pen game.

While also being as good as he otherwise would be as a No. 1 guy. Not that easy.

Whichever talking head if was (Boone??), I liked the point he made earlier about the lineup shuffling, citing the '93 Blue Jays: "Here are our 10, go win the game." And then he made a point about Johnny No-Name batting in a crucial situation. And that was well before Difo vs. Kershaw.

Some parents worry about their kids and drugs. Or pregnancy.

We are actually grappling with the very real danger of our 7-year-old becoming a Cubs fan because of this nonsense this year and last.

You are probably too wealthy and successful for him to be a White Sox fan anyway.

I am not wealthy. He probably thinks we are, though.

Dick - i was in chicago last year, and took a little jaunt to see Comiskey. It was in the morning, not even the day of a game.
Is that a high school right next to the stadium?

Doesn't it say "Air Force Academy High School"? I don't know what the hell it is.

That's because, us usual, you're sitting there in your Chicago bubble basement formulating your opinions without being around the people you're opining about. Maybe the 95 percent are right and Whitman Bubble Boy is wrong. People in general and media people -- veteran media people who covered him when he played and managed -- call him one of the best people and best baseball people around.
So Dusty is a dolt and all the teams that hired him are run by dolts, even though the dolt wins and gets his team into the playoffs just about every year.

    Eight years out of 21.

Once there, he actively hurts his team's chances of advancing.
