    Make playoffs: Cheap beer celebration
    Win LDS: Good beer celebration
    Win pennant: Cheap champagne celebration
    Win World Series: Good champagne celebration

    College basketball teams cut down the nets for making the Final Four.


    In baseball I get it. It started when just a few teams made the playoffs. Guys can go an entire career and never sniff the postseason and after a 162-game grind if guys want to harmlessly celebrate a significant achievement, go for it.
