    Not likely if he started in the '60s or '70s (which he would have had to). Lotta false advertising back then.

    Tony Gwynn was born in 1960, so I doubt he started before the mid-70s at the earliest. People knew tobacco caused cancer by then.

    1) At least where I grew up, 12/13 was about when baseball players started dipping.

    2) There was zero literature about smokeless tobacco until the late '80s/early '90s when Joe Garagiola started his campaign.

    Looks like he specializes in being around people getting crushed by flying objects at the ballpark. If you see him, watch out.

    LOL! Giants beat Padres 1-0 when Matt Kemp takes a left instead of a right toward a pop fly in right field, then fumbles it around on the ground as Belt scores from first.

    Johnny Cueto has a 2.38 ERA in 75 2/3 innings.

    Take away two innings (six-run and five-run) and his ERA is 1.10.

    Cueto has allowed 1 run in 27 innings in his three starts against the Padres. That certainly helps!
