    Considering the voter's tendencies during his time on the ballot, I think if Parker would have had the same numbers but no drug use, he gets in. I think a lot of the old guard dinged him (and Raines) for their drug use and didn't want to reward them with the highest honor possible.

    Going to Wrigley in a few months. Flying down on the Friday, going to the stadium on the Saturday. Any good bars you recommend to watch the game on Friday? Staying close to Wrigley.

    Ichiro setting an all-time pro baseball mark is kind of like a few years back when ESPN decided UConn's women's basketball team broke the consecutive win mark set by UCLA's men. Yes, it's pro baseball in Japan. But not at the major league level.

    Yeah, it's an interesting note, but not the same thing. But of course Pete Rose has to be kind of a dick about it.
