Who are the Pirates going to get to replace Juan Nicasio?

With no empirical data whatsoever, I'm saying Bryant, Rizzo and Schwarber are going to be just fine.

They absolutely could. Cubs fans are way too high on their own farts. Baseball is a weird sport and nobody's future is guaranteed to be amazing, but you can't convince Cubs fans that Epstein hasn't already locked down the next six division titles.

4/5th of their rotation is on the wrong side of 30 and they've shown little ability to develop middle or top of the rotation pitching talent from the minors. Randomly turning a mid-20s throw-in from Baltimore into a reasonable Kershaw facsimile isn't something you can count on doing regularly.

Which isn't to say I don't like their future, just that there are definitely potential stumbling blocks, same as for everyone.

Verbally kicking fart boy's butt is not foaming at the mouth. Also, I never said they were dysfunctional. I said ownership was cheap. Once again, you attack that which you do not understand.

Yes, that's all I am suggesting. Every one of these prospect-porn teams thinks that nothing can possibly go wrong.
It's all great until your former No. 1 starts hitting .230.

What drum? That the Pirates are cheap? They are. Thankfully for their fans, they have a front office that has found ways to work around the problem to an extent.

The Cubs are doing it the right way. Build up the young nucleus and when you feel they are ready to contend, add veteran help through trades or free agency in the hopes of putting the team over the top. It is no guarantee of success, but they are giving themselves a better chance.

Actually, the Pirates do seem to count on turning scrubs into stars in their pitching rotation. Juan Nicasio, owner of a career 4.88 ERA, is the latest candidate.

The Cubs also have way more spending resources than the Pirates. You are such a fool.

Guess you can't take your beating like a champ. Of course the Cubs have more resources. I have specifically said I don't expect the Pirates to spend with the big markets. But they can be in the middle of the pack rather than hanging out near the bottom.

And spend $70 million on garbage like Ian Kennedy, like the Royals?

MLB.TV question: Does anyone know how to watch from the beginning a game already in progress when watching on the iPad app? On a web browser, you can make "Play games from the beginning" your default; on the Amazon Fire stick, you can choose to start a game a game from the beginning when you select. I'm not seeing a similar option on the iPad, though.
