Ruh-Roh Belt RBI double. Giants have their rally hats on.

Dude, don't get my hopes up like that. Thought maybe they cut the deficit down from 9-3. But no. I just got over being pissed that they were down that much. Now I need to find a table to flip again.

Why hasn't SNL created the Mad Dog character?

We've bitched about the pitching all year as Orioles fans. Then Baltimore scores five runs in three games at home in the biggest series of the season. Damn. That two-out error last night was just brutal. Ends up being a five-run error.

O's are only one game up for the second wild card with 10 to play. One more vs. Boston, three vs. Arizona, three at Toronto, three at the Yankees. It's going to take at least 7-3 to get in, I think. Any loss to the Dbacks and you can probably write the season obit.

Haven't been a ton of highlights for my Braves this year, but this was exciting. Bonus points because it hurts the Mets.

My Phillies' magic number for not finishing last in the NL East is down to two. When you root for clubs like these, you take happiness where you find it.

Braves only need to go 2-8 in their last 10 to avoid 100 losses. I thought back in May they might lose 120.

That's about where I was with the Phils last September. In May, my brother sent me a long email from one of his law partners in Delaware about how the 2015 bunch had the chance to be the worst Phillies team of all time, which is kind of like being the best Yankees team of all time in reverse.

When they matched up with Minnesota, I thought, "here's two 100-loss teams going at it." Well, the Twins might still get to 100 L's. But the Braves have had their moments lately, including the sweep of the Mets.

And yeah, that was a sweet, home-run-robbing catch to end it last night.

Nothing happened in Arlington, mostly because Derek Holland is a mental midget who got lit up and Scioscia left town not as miserable.
