I actually think Bucknor is worse, but it's a photo finish.

Twins and Braves both start 0-9.

    Both sweep the weekend.

After the second week it's Nats, Cubs, Dodgers, Orioles, White Sox, Rangers atop the standings.

The White Sox won't stay there long if they continue to hit like a high school girls softball team. Todd Frazier .163. Jose Abreu .214. Avisail Garcia and Alex Avila under .200. That Chris Sale has managed to start 3-0 backed up by that hot garbage is remarkable.

Hernandez, Bucknor, Joe West and Balk-a-Day Bob Davidson are the ones that jump out to me.

I wonder how long KC sticks with Chris Young in the rotation. He's 0-3 with a 7.90 ERA and WHIP approaching 2. His tendency to give up homers has shown in each outing. Meanwhile none of the other starters have a loss or an ERA over 2.45.

Yankees' Betances and Miller have a combined 27 Ks, 2 BBs and 5 hits in 11 innings (and 0 earned runs). They both struck out the side yesterday.

Cardinals vs. Cubs tonight for the first time since the playoffs (Playoffs? Playoffs!).

Who do they have to replace him? Young has always been a little streaky. Maybe it is the height, but he has a history of having trouble keeping his mechanics in order. If he is healthy, he usually figures it out. Of course, staying healthy has also been a problem.

And their bullpen is going to get even better shortly.

According to the raging dumpster fire that is @bestfansstlouis, one or maybe more fine upstanding individuals are planning to throw batteries, among other objects at Heyward.

    You stay classy.

Okay, maybe J.A. Happ can continue what he did with the Pirates last year. He dropped his ERA to 1.89 by giving up one run in seven innings to beat the Red Sox today.

That's the thing, Duffy hasn't necessarily earned another shot at starting and the most likely candidates in the minors have either been shaky to start the year or just aren't ready yet.
