Evan Grant of the DMN reports that Yu Darvish is ready to start his rehab stint in the minors and could be activated as soon as May 11.

Yu could've been a full go for the start of spring training if he hadn't have put off his Tommy John for four months.

Of the 47 starters available in my A.L. fantasy league auction, I had Young ranked 44th, in my own rankings. He's old and not good.

For the record, I had Nick Tropeano ranked 7th. If he keeps up the 427 ERA+, that's looking like a great pick-up.

I love Young for the guts he showed after his dad died last year, and I think he's got a role to play out of the bullpen still. But he's not a guy to fill out the rotation on a championship team.

 

They should have consulted me.
