Cespedes ends Rea's bid with a weak grounder through the right side.

Always on the West Coast, this stuff. Always.

Matt Cain gets blasted out of his latest start in San Francisco, and now the Giants have two rotation spots with 7-plus ERAs as they prepare to watch Lincecum's showcase tomorrow.

He grabbed his forearm during last start and looked uncomfortable.

Scioscia called it a 'dehydration' issue after the game.

It's probably related to all the video games these kids are playing today. Orel Hershiser never once got dehydrated, not even when he was pitching 17 games in a row and taking the city bus to and from the ballpark.

All right, fellas -- the Angels' slow start is more disastrous than we thought. Not because Jered Weaver is topping out at 83 mph. Not because Garrett Richards is going under the knife. Not because Pujols will struggle to hit his weight.

No, the way to tell is ... It's Hot Takez Time, kicked off by Dave Cameron of FanGraphs.

And that reality prompts the obvious question: is it time to think about trading Mike Trout?

If you could get 2 or 3 elite hitting prospects from the Cubs (starting with Soler and Baez), I say do it. Their farm system is the worst in the game and they're paying 4 players (Pujols, Trout, Hamilton and Weaver) almost $100 million between them.

They're not going to win anything with Trout, and he's going to start getting really expensive next year. They're basically the A-Rod era Rangers at this point.

Winners win, if Trout is a winner he will lead them to the promise land.

Umm. Where can I sign up for this Soler and Baez for Trout thing? No takebacks
