The only thing with Bryan is, it's all based on the assumption that he's healthy. And can stay healthy for an extended period of time. Not sure he's shown either one to be the case, sadly.

I think at this point they'll take his doctors' approval just to get someone who brings in ratings back in the ring. As for staying healthy, that's still a big question mark.

That's why I think you go all in and bring back the clean shaven DB. He immediately looks 20 years younger and looks like a generic white guy. It would be PERFECT for that character and the majority of the people rooting for him likely don't remember what he looks like without all the facial hair and general hoboness.

The thing is, they're going to take one more shot on him. They have to.
And if he flames out from there? They'll write him out for real the way they had Edge retire in the ring the night after WM27.
He'd have a small window of opportunity but he's too big a name to leave hanging in limbo.

I went back and watched Edge's retirement speech from Smackdown, where they let him speak a lot longer and close the show. Still get goosebumps each time I watch it.

As far as D-Bry, he apparently got another clearance from a doctor at, IIRC, UCLA this week.

He and Alex Riley have a future as the tag team champions, The Alphabet Society.

The Alphabet Society can be a faction, with Big E, ZZ, B. Brian Blair, and Mr. X.

And then, when they're ready for the big time, they can introduce the two new members - Y2J and Triple H.
The group, of course, would be managed by Lanny Poffo.

Forgot all about Triple H. I was running the alphabet through my head.

So I was thinking more and more about a potential AJ Styles debut at the Royal Rumble. I can't think of a single way it would be good short of him actually winning the match.
I watched AJ a bit in ROH. Honestly, I didn't see what people loved about him.
I could see it working if they debuted the three news guys as the Balor Club and used it to bring Finn up to the main roster and have him make an immediate impact, ala the Shield's rise, but short of that, I don't know how it's going to work.
