    It was outstanding indeed.

NXT has done such a great job of building both women up to be not only great wrestlers but engaging personalities.

Asuka's cocky almost heelish attitude that no one can beat her fits her perfectly. Nikki Cross' facial expressions are gold.

And that finish, my god. Thankfully they didn't miss the mark or both of them could've been really hurt. It almost seemed they were off by a little bit but man, what a bump.

Just watched it. Great match. My only quibble is that I hope here weren't monitors on the table, because that would have been pretty unnecessarily dangerous. Usually when an announcer table spot happens, they take out the monitors first.

I got around to seeing the Asuka-Cross match and I agree it was awesome, ending with the nice Rocky II-type ending. And I thought the announcers sold it really well; Ranallo's going to work out just fine in NXT, I think.

Asuka's been by far my favorite wrestler in NXT ever since her first night, when she meekly left the ring after Dana Brooke and Emma bullied her, and then at the top of the ramp she turned around and gave them that evil smile. I was sold on her from that moment on.

I'm torn about her future. A good part of me would love to see her on the big WWE stage, but then the other part cringes on the lousy booking she'll probably have to fight through.

It's borderline hard to believe they let them empty the tank like that with the chairs....ladder.....table.....not even on a Takeover. But its great because it makes the weekly product worth watching.

Asuska's character is perfect. Right now we want to watch her destroy people, but there's enough arrogance there that when there's a face over enough we'll want to root for them instead. Cross is great too. Everything they needed to do that was subtle they did, perfectly.

I think Joe provides an example of how to book her on the main roster. I have more faith that they'll get the push right for Asuka as opposed to Bayley, where it always seemed like it would require the sort of gentle touch WWE is incapable of on Raw right now.

Paige wore a lucha mask as she sat at ringside for Alberto's match against Lashley last night.

If you haven't watched the G1 Special on Saturday night, I highly recommend that you watch it. Especially for Kenny Omega vs Michael Elgin & the main event between Cody and Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.

Either way, it's gonna be honestly almost a bummer to watch RAW tonight after I was treated to such great action on Saturday night.

And now Asuka gives us this gem

I wonder if they'll actually do a surprise challenge angle or if it'll just be Moon again at Takevoer

Based on that picture, maybe she'll be stepping up to the heavyweight division to challenge Chris Christie.

Have they ever done an Ironman tag team match before?
I'm kind of digging that idea.

Bad news on the injury front as Tommaso Ciampa is out for the remainder of 2017. Timetable for his return is March 2018. This sucks so bad because people were so hyped when Ciampa turned on Gargano in Chicago we were all hoping for an awesome feud and it's not gonna happen yet.

FWIW, I liked RAW last night, save the Cedric/Dar/Fox angle they' hopefully have finally put to bed.

Started out with a great Enzo promo that spilled backstage and was pretty well paced throughout. One of their stronger efforts of recent times.
