    I was making a joke.
The way Rovell wrote it, it sounds like the Cavs were forcing people to buy three years.

I get it. Rovell's wording was goofy.

Tangent: when was the last time an owner invested in a roster to the extent Dan Gilbert has and still come across as such a loathsome toad? Maybe Steinbrenner.

Steinbrenner had his fans even when he went nuts. He was beloved in death. Nobody has ever liked Dan Gilbert, and he has now ensured they never will.

I just cannot see how James and Ball coexist.

Well, they just signed McGee... that will make everything better.

LeBron gets away from JR Smith and ends up alongside JaVale McGee, Lance Stevenson and Lonzo's daddy.

I hope to God there's a reality show in the works for this season.

(And agreed about Lonzo. Not sure his game will mesh with LeBron.)

Seeing LeBron have to play with JeVale and Lance makes all of this worth it.

One interesting development in all of this...

The Lakers seem to be loading up on one-year deals. I expected them to go after Boogie Cousins and they didn't.

They must be convinced they're getting Kawhi Leonard as a free agent next year.

How many players do they have on their team now?

Unless the Lakers get Leonard, they are no better than the fourth best team in the West. And that's if there is no disfunction in the locker room.
