Other than Lowry, I can’t think of a marquee American born player signing with a Toronto team. Between the taxes, the weather and the hinterland perception, there are lots of reasons why any player would leave - whether they’re leaving the NBA champions or not.

Though the one you keep hearing about Leonard is that he’s a completely closed book: he just doesn’t tip his hand at all as to what he’s thinking.

The fine was absurd. He was asked about one of the greatest players in the league and said he was a good player. That's not tampering. That's stating the obvious.

Don't worry, they can just trade for an elite Canadian player like Wiggins!

Fun fact about Doc Rivers. He got the nickname not because he’s a doctor on any level, or displayed surgical precision as a shooter or passer, or because he was a genius at school.
Ass’t Coach Rick Majerus nicknamed him “Doc” because Rivers had worn a “Dr. J” T-shirt at a summer basketball camp.

    This is ridiculous.

I with JC for once. Fine was stupid, and probably reflects the other owners' fear and envy of Ballmer's money as much as anything else.

How does it feel to be right for once?

He didn't say anything that could be reasonably viewed as tampering.

If the NBA has to play on Sunday night, they should have started Friday. No reason to have 2 full days between games being played at the same location.

    It's as simple as A-B-C.

They've had two off days between Games 1 and 2 since the '80s, when CBS had the NBA. It didn't change with NBC or ABC.
