As far as I can tell, here's the main problem for the Celtics. They only got Kyrie because he wanted a place where he could be top banana. Acquire Davis, and Irving's back to being second fiddle. While a wonderful player, Irving's not the most stable of teammates. And in pure swap terms, I don't see how Boston gets New Orleans to sign off if they don't give them AT LEAST Irving as the headline acquisition of the deal.

He's believed to be interested and is very close to Kyrie, which is one of the reasons Boston has been pretty confident they'll have a good shot at him.

Is NO going to tank for a couple years and get multiple top 3 draft picks, 76ers plan? If so, then take draft choices Or players than can generate draft choices Then why would they want the Lakers roster, less LeBron? How’s that working out for them? What could the Celtics possibly offer them to make them better ? The Celtic 1st round picks in every odd year until 2029?
There’s no way they could be one of the worst 3 teams this year, even without AD so sucking harder this year may get them from 10 to 6 in draft position but not a top 3 pick.

They need Buddy Hield back. Trade AD to Sac for Hield, Bagley and 2 1st round picks.

Or contract the league. Too many teams without a chance.

OK. If you think the Pelicans are going to trade a young top 5 player for two mediocre guys, an older guy on a max contract and a pick, I suspect you'll be in for a surprise.

Then he doesn’t request the trade now.

You're putting too much stock in that. It's been a foregone conclusion that this was coming.

He's not going before the deadline. He's going in the offseason unless the Pelicans front office loses its mind.

I wouldn't be surprised by anything Dell Demps does.

I was just reading that. I assume those "Yahoo sources" are all members of the New York Knicks front office because there was a whole lot of silliness in there making the Knicks look like a player.

I don't think Davis would resign in Sacramento. Only an idiot would give a boatload of talent for Davis unless they were 100% sure they could sign Davis to a new contract. So I think the Pelicans could also get Fox along with Bagley and Hield because Divac is the general manger.

If this pans out, Pelicans definitely looking for the rebuild.
