Good point, I guess the result makes certain calls easier to forget.

Even Pavelski thinks the call was bullshit.

There was something touching seeing the rotund drunk gentlemen engaging in an inebriated embrace cheering on the Blue Jackets in the last minute.

 

The league is an absolute joke. McAvoy should have been tossed and should be suspended. But he plays for Jeremy Jacobs, the psuedo commissioner so I’m sure it will be just a fine.

And their broadcast partners are their biggest enablers. Remember, old hockey men and their partners stick together.

I am genuinely curious as to whether Brad Marchand (who is a freaking amazing player) has simply embraced the role of wrestling heel and is in on the joke, or actually is as bad a guy as he appears to be.

For what it’s worth, I’ve heard former NHLers talk about how Marchand is about the best guy going. And these aren’t former teammates either.

 

Good to know he's got his peers licked ...

 

I've attended 1 NHL game in person in my 44 years on Planet Earth.
I've watched a lot of hockey on tv.
They are fast on tv. They are obscenely fast in person.

 

Hockey is infinitely better to watch in person than on TV, moreso than any other sport.

 

And if you watch a minor league or college game, the difference in speed is the first thing you notice
