Always love the spring stories of players showing up lighter, players who've put on some weight (so they don't wear down during the season or whatever). Also love the stories about players showing up a few days late because of a dental appointment (you've had three months) or those who just discover they're injured when they arrive and need surgery.

Don't forget the guys with visa problems! Another evergreen.

Any Dreamers in the Majors? That would be funny.

Are there any beat writers here who covered the Braves when Bruce Benedict was catcher? PM me. Thanks.

Like Danny Salazar, who the Indians announced *might* be ready for Opening Day after hurting his shoulder last month.

To be fair, it seems like Danny Salazar hurts something or needs to rest something in his upper body on a semi-weekly.

But, as Pete Beatty said on the Effectively Wild podcast the other day, the moment the Indians trade him for 80 cents on the dollar, he's going to figure it out and become unhittable.

Krukow on KNBR the other day said he expects Pablo to make the 25-man.
He also said it's a good thing to have a pinch-hitter who swings at pitches in the dirt and over his head.

Well, it keeps those opposition infielders on their toes.
