    I'm a Jets fan.

    Never saw Namath.

Vinny Testaverde is the best Jets QB I've seen in my lifetime.

    I'm a Jets fan.

He has the talent to back it up, but Jalen Ramsey is also fairly graceless and dismissive.

Jalen Ramsey: The man, the mouth, the legend

Naturally, Twitter is celebrating in Ramsey what it would abhor in any politician.

(Obligatory "politics is more important than sports even though we spend much less time thinking about it" response.)

  4. Testaverde.

    And that's probably it.

You don't get to erase the validity of a response by calling it obligatory.

We didn't elect Jalen Ramsey to represent us. So comparing him to an elected official just doesn't make any sense. His employer has an issue with what he says, they can fine him for "conduct unbecoming of a Jaguar."

Which I assume means not stalking and eating enough sloths and turtles.

I didn't erase it. You made it.

He was suspended for a week by the Jags for being an ass to the local press.

No. 2 in NFL history in career completion percentage, and 14th in passer rating.

Pennington certainly had his moments. He was terrific when he got his opportunity in 2002 and was the perfect distributor for Lav. Coles and Santana Moss. Unfortunately his arm wasn't strong enough to deal with the injuries he suffered but I always felt like the Jets had to chance to win when he played.

Being a Jets fan since I saw my first game at Shea in 1981, it's Ken O'Brien and Testaverde above the rest. Kenny O'Brien was really good at times in the mid-80s and the Jets get way too much shit for drafting him over Marino considering he had a nice career while the Chiefs drafted Todd fucking Blackledge at 9 and passed over Marino AND Jim Kelly and get no shit for it. My heart sunk in 1999 when Testaverde tore his Achilles because that was going to be a very good Jets team. They went 12-4 the year before, lost to Broncos in the AFC Championship and were loaded. The fact that Ray Lucas went like 6-2 as a starter for that team told me how could they could have been.

After that...Sanchez had some good moments at times. He was damn good in the 2010 playoffs and was one bad half from the defense away from beating Manning, Brady and Roethlisberger in the same postseason. Honestly I think they mismanaged the shit out of him and the Tebow addition was a joke. They fucked up with Smith too (although he didn't help himself).

Richard Todd was my first favorite but that playoff game against the Bills and the debacle against the Dolphins a year later made it clear that he couldn't deliver when they needed him to.

I'm super optimistic about Darnold. I've already resigned myself to the fact that Bridgewater will throw for 4,700 yards and 33 touchdowns in 2020 but I'm hoping Darnold is good enough that it doesn't bite them in the ass.

O'Brien wasn't bad. He had some nice duels with Marino in the mid-80s. He gets understandably overlooked, though, when there were two first-ballot Hall of Famers in the same division alongside him.
