On the plus side for the Patriots, no one seems to be asking about Malcolm Butler anymore.

Guess this means Jimmy G won't be coming back to reunite with McDaniels.
Now I begin praying for Lamar Jackson so at least I can watch a fun quarterback while my Pats suck post Brady

There's no such thing as a fun quarterback when the team sucks. Teams sucks, QB sucks.

Jeff Blake in Cincinnati begs to differ.

How do you possibly spend even half of that much money, without wasting half of it?

Had dinner with a 10-year NFL vet, Super Bowl champ last night (his son has been my son's best friend since 2nd grade). He made $65 k as a rookie in 1987. Unbelievable how salaries have risen in 30 years.

Thankfully I'm sure McDaniels learned a lot from the Tebow experiment in Denver and won't at all make the same mistakes trying to fit an unconventional player into his system, as he seems very mature and not at all smug based on years of somehow figuring out how to coach one of the game's greatest minds.

All the success Charlie Weiss and Bill O'Brien had coaching quarterbacks post-Brady should convince him he's ready to be the next Bill Walsh, IMO.

Anyone else catch Weiss calling him out for reneging?

He is undefeated and likely to remain so until at least 2023.

Don't forget overall revenues too. Jerry Jones bought the Cowboys for $140 million in 1989 and they were losing $1 million a month.

    Worth approximately $5 billion now.

When the Packers had to disclose to shareholders what their profits were in 2013, it turned out they made (in profit, not revenue) $54 million. In one year.

Owners waste plenty of their money too, and still fight to avoid giving players 50 percent of revenue in the CBA.

Salaries have gone up because the game is more profitable. It may trend down a bit as people turn off football (although it's still a mile ahead of other sports) but players deserve all they're getting.

He had no problem with anyone making a ton of money. We were just wondering how you could possibly spend it, and keep your kids from growing up as spoiled rich brats.

Other than the quarterbacks, most of these guys will have nothing left when they're done. They definitely have no trouble finding ways to spend it and there's usually little or nothing left for the kids.
