That's still $15M or $18.5M for one year for a guy who was the backup for Tampa Bay. Osweiler got four years, $72M ($37M guaranteed), for an average annual of $18M. I'd think Keenum is more than $18M a year, since he's coming off an actual good year and not just potential, and Cousins will get more than that because he's had a couple good years. It's rare that any good QB gets to true free agency.

So I'm curious. With the FA period coming ahead of the draft - how do teams prioritize FAs and draft needs. Do they seek upgrades at specific positions during the FA period, and fill losses through the draft?
In a perfect world, it would seem better to have the FA period after the draft where you could get players at positions where you still have holes. Of course, I imagine this would also drive up contracts for FAs.

Nobody is drafting for immediate need outside of the first round.

Ill say one thing about Cousins: I can't ever remember the love I've seen for a free agent to be like he is getting from Von Miller and Larry Fitzgerald.

They just had to spend a season watching Trevor Seimian, Paxton Lynch, Drew Stanton and Blaine Gabbert QB their teams. They’re suffering from PTSD.

I would venture a guess he ends up in the 303.

Was I really drunk yesterday afternoon, or did I supposedly hear the Colts dangle Andrew Luck to Cleveland for their 1 and 4?

Some rather silly CBSSports trade...it was actually the No. 1, 4, 33 and 35....for a guy who has missed 26 games in the past three seasons.

CBS Sports devises off-the-wall Browns trade for Andrew Luck

Luck has been hiding out in exile for a while until they canned Pagano but has he re-appeared yet? I'd make him throw before trading anything. I still get the feeling that Josh McDaniels got a heads up on his health and that might be part of the reason he backed out the way he did.

That would be such a Browns thing to do, to trade all those picks for Luck and he either never plays again, or he does but his arm is shot and he stinks for them.

The NFL media apparently throw more shit against the wall than anybody. The Skins tagging Cousins was apparently never a thing. Jackson has said nobody has talked to him about being anything other than a QB.
