Yep, that's basically my take. High variance option, but the good-end of that option is a ton better than Glennon and I can't talk myself that the bad-end of that option being that much worse (bad end is Bridgewater can't play and some schlub backup takes way too many snaps, but hey, that's a high draft pick then, and Glennon ain't taking you anywhere).

I think the signing Bradford v. signing Bridgewater v. trading for Foles debate is more interesting.

For that much guaranteed he better learn to be a bus driver. Clearly he has a bad record against the better teams in the league but being in the situation he was in with the Redskins I think he was clearly thinking about his numbers and to hell with a team and organization that clearly didn't give a shit about him. But now he's expected to be the difference between where they got this year and where they want to get.

You've got it backward. For that much guaranteed he'd better be more than a bus driver. He'd better be able to take over a game and win it for you.

Sam Bradford to Arizona....for at least four starts before Mason Rudolph takes over.

    Still better than Glennon

Is there a right choice between Gabbert and Glennon? At that point just put a running back in there and go single wing.

Just start one and tank for next year.

As backups go, Gabbert has had some good games the past two seasons. Much rather have him as backup.

Few things in the NFL are more predictable than Gabbert's roller coaster.

TRAINING CAMP: He's a fine backup, hopefully he never has to play.
MIDSEASON: Aww shit, our guy got hurt. Well, time to to play Gabby, hopefully he can just not screw things up.
FIRST 2-3 GAMES: Wow, this guy is pretty good. Can throw and run a little, got a little moxie, we might have something here.
NEXT 2-3 GAMES: Oh shit he's terrible he's gun-shy in the pocket and dinks and dunks like he should be QBing a 1-8 high school team.
NEXT GAME: Sit down. we're playing some guy we found at the ticket booth, never come back here again.

As long as backup means "holding a clipboard and not being on the field" I agree.

I remember him being not completely terrible against Houston and Jacksonville and then being the same awful POS quarterback he's always been in the last 3-4 starts

    Bradford's deal:
One year for $20 million, including $15 million guaranteed, with a one-year option for $20 million.

O/U on number of games he plays in those 2 years: 20.
