RIP David Humm - Back-up QB who is a a holder of a National Championship in CFB at Nebraskas and more SB rings (2 with the Raiders) than starts. All-American at Nebraska, diagnosed with MS at age 36.

Just looked it up. The Patriots got Randy Moss for a 4th round pick. Randy Moss! Beckham will be lucky to have his career. The Giants will not trade Beckham because they can't take the hit from fans about the return they'll be offered. Better to wait him out, let him hit the market and bet he won't get as much elsewhere as he expects.

I remember reading about him that he was considered one of the best kick holders in the NFL, which I thought was a rather unique honor.

Also, if I remember correctly, his career came to an end in that infamous 1984 game against the Bears when he came in after Marc Wilson got hurt, had his knee shredded, and Ray Guy nearly had to play quarterback before Wilson came back in and played with a broken bone (his hand, as I recall) and a concussion (which might not happen today).

    RIP

Saw this riveting stuff while reading the Todd Marinovich news.

This clip reminds me of everything that is bad about the NFL, ESPN and TV itself ...

They might want to do something different with that "SC am" logo.

Interesting story. With a number of NFL owners in ill or declining health, or figuring it may not be that far away - the pressure is on for organizations to win a SB trophy before the owner dies. I remember how the Raiders were continually wrecked by Al Davis trying to get another SB before he died. Ludicrous trades and contracts that continuously set the franchise back.
Probably a good time to be a GM with a youngish owner, not so good to be feeling the heat. Fourteen of the 31 teams have owners 70 or older.

Pats trade Brandin Cooks to the Rams for LA's first round pick.
