So with the co-branded PPVs and a mixed bag of Raw and Smackdown wrestlers in the MITB match, will they go back to the contract allowing the winner to challenge for either championship?

Good for Rusev, but a squeaky clean win over Daniel Bryan a month into Bryan's comeback? With no interference even at the end?
That's pretty damn surprising. I was waiting for Cass to at least do a postmatch run-in to continue that feud.

I’m not mad Bryan not going to be in a ladder match, thats for sure. Would’ve been pretty cringe worthy with every high spot

Kinda makes sense, if Bryan was beaten up two days before, plus, as I saw from a poster on Cageside, he's only had a few matches in the past 3 years, so, kayfabe-wise, he may have ring rust.

But also, as Jimmy noted, it's good he's not in the ladder match. We don't want to be covering our eyes every time he gets hit or takes a bump.

Agree with both. It was more stunning to me that Rusev won totally clean in a Smackdown main event, especially when they just had Cass job out to Bryan the night before. And when Rusev has been stuck in mid-card purgatory for a while. It wasn't like they had him lose to Nakamura or Orton.
It wasn't unwelcome. Just felt odd to give him a loss in that spot, with that guy, in that way.

Sort of like Carmella beating Charlotte totally clean a month after Charlotte beat undefeated Asuska.

Yeah Both Rusev and Carmella "took advantage of injuries" but those are clean wins, which is downright shocking these days in those circumstances

Would've been super easy to do a Lana distraction to further than English/Lana tension story too. But with the way the camera lingered on Bryan at the end, it's clear they have a plan.

And Miz is already trolling him on Twitter, lol.

Rumors are that Cena is dating Carmella, hence why she's finally getting a push.

Although, in all seriousness, since she was the first women's MITB winner (yeah, I know, with he.p from Ellsworth), they really couldn't have had her fail in her cash-in attempt. It would have looked pretty bad.

Shes not a ring general but shes got a good character and charisma.

I was just surprised she didnt cheat to beat Charlotte. Its kind of what she does. Shes a chickenshit heel theyre not really supposed to go clean over the division’s hulk hogan.

With Rusev over Bryan at least he’s more of a brute/tyrant than a cheater, plus the crowd’s not accepting him as a heel anyway. Hes won a zillion matches clean. Has Carmella won any?

Both puzzling finishes but in different ways.

Wonder what Cass feels about that. Then again, I don't really care what the Giant Rat thinks.
