Posted this a few times over the years, but in honor of The Miz's becoming an eight-time Intercontinental champion (he's got to feud with Jericho at some point, right?) it's worth posting again. It's the Sporcle quiz I created to keep up with the overall number of major championships.
Again, it's any of the world titles (Universal, World Heavyweight or WWE), tag titles, IC and U.S. titles.
I think Raven holds the "official" record for most overall championships because of the way the Hardcore belt used to be defended, but those are kind of a joke. The other straps like the European and Cruiserweight titles were also minor belts or too short-lived to really be considered "major championships" to me.
I've done a good job of updating it whenever a title changes hands, but might have been off an initial count or two or overlooked someone. Near as I can tell, though, it's accurate.

Apparently, Enzo was supposed to face Goldust on Monday in place of the tag match that the Dudleys came in on. The Dudleys would then put one of to Zo Train through a table. That makes sense why Goldie was not used.

We spoke about The Miz earlier. Any former wrestlers remind you of the career path of The Miz? I guess we can sort of loop in Goldberg in there? Came from the NFL, and became an instant star in WCW.

Goldberg was actually such a phenomenon, I don't think he's similar to Miz. I've always thought the Ultimate Warrior's WWF run was more equivalent to Goldberg. Just a steady march up the card, thanks to squash matches and an incredible physique, but once he's on top, what do you do?

The Miz just plugged along and has kind of earned his spot. He did get booked a bit too high early because of his "fame," but I didn't ever really think he was actually famous.

Amazing that this guy is now practically a bonafide Hall of Famer.

The 2019 Royal Rumble will be in Phoenix -- at Chase Field.
Interesting experiment. IIRC, this is the first time they've held one of the tentpole PPVs other than Wrestlemania at a venue larger than arena-sized.

Last year's Rumble was at the Alamodome, when they used carts (off-camera) to bring the big guys down the aisle because the walk was so long.

Now that I think about it, the 1997 one was as well.
The Alamodome has a smaller basketball/wrestling configuration, though. Did they use that or the full 60,000-seat football configuration?

1992 Summerslam was at Wembley Stadium.

In the old days, they had three Showdown at Shea Stadium in '72 (Morales vs. Bruno) '76 (Bruno vs. Hansen, Andre vs. Chuck Wepner, and as part of Ali-Inoki), and '80 (Bruno vs. Larry Z. Hogan vs. Andre).

1986, they had a huge card at Exhibition Stadium in Toronto (Hogan vs. Orndorff).

I wouldn't put Goldberg as similar to Miz.

One guy that comes to mind, in a roundabout way, was DDP. Started out as a manager, did some broadcasting, and then, late in his career, became a wrestler. Didn't do much, then all of a sudden hit it big.
