I think Ed Orgeron might be the most inspiring story of the season and proof that just because you are something doesn’t mean you must remain that something. Could anyone have foreseen this in 2007?

USC will soon be on its third coach since it let him walk.

Has Oregon changed as a person and/or coach or does he just have much better talent to coach?

Whittingham has had two losing seasons -- 5-7 in 2012 and 2013, the Utes' second and third years in the Pac-12. And he's 10-2 in bowl games.

Well the Ogre completely shit the bed at Ole Miss to the point of where he was out of the head coaching pool for a long time. If he isn't chosen to be the interim after Lane Kiffin was fired (not Sarkisian as I previously said) Ogre doesn't have that feel good run at USC and probably doesn't get considered for the LSU job when Les Miles gets fired.

Lincoln Riley is this group is a bit misleading because he's gone after the 2016 season if Stoops doesn't step down. He was a blue-chip prospect in terms of head coaching potential.

In "almost-ville" you now have Mario Cristobal at Oregon, Jimmy Lake at Washington, David Shaw at Stanford and Helton at SC (for now).

I'm surprised Steve Ensmiger's name hasn't come up for Ark, Missou or Ole Miss - sure he's not a "young offensive mind" but he's been around the conference forever and Ed O might push him aside for Joe Brady. He might not get another HC shot again - so he'd probably take it.

Sucks about Tedford Great coach - I do hope he had some fun at Fresno to cap off his career.

He's changed a ton. His time in the NFL and his return to USC just changed him a lot. He was a LOT more pleasant to be around and talk football from that standpoint. He recruited some damn good players at Ole Miss, they just hated playing for him.

Wolken wrote a piece for USA during the end of his interim tenure at USC. It's as simple as he started treating his athletes like people with complications and emotions instead of objects used to accomplish a singular goal.

Ed Orgeron's evolution could mean future with USC football

Bit of a shocker here. But he did have some heart problems when he was with Tampa Bay and, after a leave of absence, worked out a settlement.

let’s not forget that this is the second rebuilding of Orgeron. The first occurred when he was a young assistant at Miami and got fired because of his drinking and stalking problem. He had To move back in with his parents and rebuild his career again.

I'm curious if Heupel left Mizzou on bad terms.
It seems like a pretty good fit, if you ask me.
As the boards lone Texas Tech fan (Shut up, you bastards) I would have loved to have had Neal Brown, Heupel or Norvell. I don't think Wells is going to work out in Lubbock. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think I am.
