I’m with you here. There’s thousands of things to rag on Milbury about, I don’t see this as a big
deal.

Was the wrong fit. I was hopeful when he was hired after the Trotz fiasco but he clearly had issues motivating veteran players. If you look at the analytics and the fancy stats, that Islanders series goes down as one of the greatest ass kickings of all time. Just not enough of elite Ovechkin left to shrug and ride it out and hope Rierden grows into the job.

Worse, that's one more place Rod could go if Tom Dundon botches this negotiation. Brind'Amour has one more season left on his deal ... and Dundon needs to take the suspense out of this one in a hurry.
