Barnes suddenly remembered how it went the last time a Tennessee coach left for a Southern California university.

Seriously, how does Dan Guerrero keep his job? It’s probably the biggest reason UCLA boosters have walked away and they don’t have the cash to pay buyouts. People don’t like handing their money over to a mismanaging asshole, and Guerrero inherited competitive football and basketball programs and has driven them into the ground.

Considering how it played out, that’s an OK hire.

He's got to be the highest paid coach with only one sweet 16 appearance.

Now St. John's is open with Mullin stepping down. Supposedly B.Hurley is a top target. ASU has money, and even though the Pac-12 is a backwater league - still probably better than St. Johns.

Not sure about that. You don't have a campus to speak of. The arena situation is split between campus, which doesn't have a big-time feel, and the Garden, which is big time but which isn't the university's.
The truth is that NYC doesn't produce great talent in the numbers it once did. Seems to me that most of their great players have been locals.
Not a great job and not gonna get better without the ESPN exposure.

    Huggy bear back to Cinci?
    LMAO
    Yeah right.
That move kinda surprised me with Cronin leaving.
Seemed like he fit that town and school very well.
Curious if Mitch Richmond's name will popup with Mullin leaving.
