With the one guy on that staff you wouldn't think leading the charge

Every time I think Stephen Strasburg is going to be what he was supposed to be ... 4 2/3 IP, 3 bombs, 9 ER.

Watching the highlights on MLB Network last night, they mentioned how the Diamondbacks have clobbered him this season. When he faced them in June they hit four home runs off of him, scored six runs, and got nine hits in five innings.
In 9 2/3 total innings in two starts against Arizona, they touched him for 15 runs, 18 hits and seven home runs. Since April 20, he's given up a total of four home runs in his other 14 starts. He's also pitched at least through the sixth inning in all but one of those other 14 starts. And, other than the two games against Arizona, he hasn't taken a loss since May 12.
it could just be a case of one specific team having his number for whatever reason.

That's the type of moment baseball needs about 2,000 more of.

I did that years ago. OK, no I didn’t. My friend and I ragged on Bonds all game, and afterward he got into it with the St. Louis AP reporter. Fun times.

Re: Reds-Pirates brawl: If you're going to get in a fight, then do what Garrett did. Screw it. I may leave with a busted up nose and a couple of scratches, but enough of the "Hold me back, hold me back" pushing and shoving.

I remember Mike Sweeney, of all people, charging the mound after Jeff Weaver hit him
Robert Fick went in to defend Weaver
The rest of the Tigers stayed on the bench and watched Weaver get his ass kicked
When Dave Dombrowski took over, Weaver was quickly turned into Jeremy Bonderman and Carlos Pena
