2019 NFL off-season thread

Discussion in 'Sports and News' started by John B. Foster, Jan 23, 2019.

  1. He's fucked. Which is a shame.
The Dolphins are throwing in the towel on the season and with that o-line, Rosen is has an express ticket to IR.
Not sure where, if or how he'll get a chance to prove himself a competent QB.

For much of Belichick's time as the Patriots coach, the backup QB was playing on a rookie contract.

Matt Cassel hadn't started since HIGH SCHOOL when he became Brady's backup. He was a backup to Palmer and Leinart at USC.

And then the Chiefs went out and got Cassel.

The thing with Rosen is now odd because they seem to be tanking with the Tunsil trade, although you can make the argument that it was such an overpay for Tunsil that you had to do it. If your plan is to tank, why give up any assets to get Rosen? Especially since your draft pick is probably going to be used on a QB. Then again, they got to evaluate Rosen in the preseason and a training camp, and maybe after that they decided he wasn't going to be a franchise QB sort for them.
