2019 Pro Wrestling thread

The second hour of Smackdown was great ...
1. The Cena-Lynch promo was really good.
2. The Miz-Shane stuff was hilarious. "Wait, is that Goldberg's body?"
3. Heck, even Shelton Benjamin's "I don't believe in New Year's resolutions" promo was funny.
4. Main event delivered and I can get behind Bryan-Styles.

It's amazing how much better Smackdown is right now than Raw.

 

I read that TNT/TBS maybe in the running for All Elite Wrestling. Wouldn't that be something.

 

This one hurts. RIP, one of the voices of my youth. Also, his son was on one of the US Olympic hockey teams in, I think, ‘88.

 

This one truly sucks. RIP.

Treated the job like he was an actual journalist. Had tremendous respect for the business.

 

Gene Okerlund's funeral will be held:

"THIS SATURDAY NIGHT, tickets at the door $6 and $8, Don'tja dare miss it!"

 

RIP to the best.

Who was the best Mean Gene foil? Piper? Hogan? Heenan? I think I say Savage.

He was gold with everyone on any roster. Speaks to his amazing talent.

 

Absolutely horrible for those of us who grew up on WWF or WCW TV.

I even went to his old fast food burger joint (at least he licensed his name to it) in Beech Island, S.C., just over the line from Augusta. It was nothing more than a cheap fast food burger, but the slogan...

"The burger so good, it says bite me."
