2019 Pro Wrestling thread

Note: Despite the time stamp of the tweet, that video is not from last night (note Heyman's shirt color) ... looks like it is from WM last year.

 

Also looks like bloody Roman Reigns on the monitor. He got busted open pretty bad during their match last year, and they're probably watching the replay or highlights of it.

 

Its def from Mania its the first 30 seconds of the doc that premiered after the Rumble.

Didnt watch it yet so I dont know if Brocks meltdown is explored/explained further. I do remember rumors about it last year, Brock being furious the crowd turned on his match again and whatnot

 

So, I finally finished watching the Rumble and managed to avoid spoilers. Show was pretty good, not great. Give it a B.

Not sure why they had Becky tap to Asuka. A pass out, or a screw job with the Ronda group would have been better. I can see them going with Becky vs. Ronda, and having both sets of Horsewomen fighting at ringside, although how they explain the Becky/Charlotte tiff will be important.

Tag titles was fine. Shane turns on Miz eventually.

Sasha/Ronda was fun. Great intensity, they told a good story of Sasha being the best Ronda has faced and Sasha didn’t tap.

Women’s rumble was OK. Right person won. As I said earlier, they needed a couple cameos to make things interesting in the middle, although Hornswoggle, I guess, counts.

Bryan/A.J. was good, but the crowd was dead after the women. They need something to just take to the next level.

Brock/Finn was fun. Finn looked like a million bucks standing toe-to-toe, and the finish was very creative.

Men’s rumble was fine. Seemed to move a little faster than the women. Rollins won, which was fairly predictable. But they really should have done more with him and Ambrose instead of just that quick flurry in the beginning. That should have been a blood feud, and it’s turned into nothing. Nice to see Jarrett. Angle should have come out a little later on. Nia’s appearance was a surprise and quite interesting to see the men get offense on her.

What is this stupid shit with Nia Jax? It’s so stupid.

 

OK, that Elias/Jarrett/Road Dogg segment was fun. Looks like Elias is a heel again.

 

Becky Lynch is fucking gold. She turned the whole arena against Ronda like a light switch.

 

Was expecting him to see the reflection of the Ultimate Warrior in there.

 

I’m all in for HHH vs Ambrose at Mania.

I’m all in for Elias vs Jarrett.

Going back to last night ... Sorry, Kofi and Naomi, but this had to have been my favorite Rumble save. Not just the hand walk, but the strength to pull up with her legs around the ring post.

 

Curious to see how this goes for the next 2-3 months because Ronda cant keep up on the mic and if its like this shes headed for Reigns rejection heat
