    Brennan will get his shot.
If USC decides to move on from Helton, maybe sooner than he thinks.

So Brett Brennan stays at San Jose State. For now.

Larry Fedora had UNC within an onside kick recovery of beating Saint Dabo in the ACC title game five years ago. Had one bad year and then picked the wrong time and place to become a CTE denialist. His career is deservedly rotting.

He stunk for more than one season at Chapel Hill.

In his defense, the academic scandal there was not of his doing. But claiming to the media that he did not care about academics during his time in Baby Blue was a bad look.

Maybe they're hoping he can convince Cam to enter the transfer portal?

It's true that he ultimately had two bad seasons, but he was effectively out the door after only the first of those two. He hadn't built enough good will to hold off the posse.

Larry Fedora lost six games at North Carolina in four of his seven seasons. Granted Duke was having a resurgence around that time, but other than Climpsun and for part of that Florida State, the ACC was weak. He had one good season at Southern Miss after taking over for Jeff Bower (who shouldn’t have been fired FWIW). He was a .500 coach in two mediocre leagues. If you’re blatantly cheating and can’t regularly win 10 games, you probably should be gone.

And ULM is turning to the scrap heap to hire...

    Terry Bowden.

Sources: Bowden to be Louisiana-Monroe coach

    It ain’t 1994 anymore.

I find it hilarious that he was a grad assistant for the last couple years under the guy who helped get his brother fired.

UAB coach Bill Clark opens up on talks with Auburn, identifies potential ‘hindrance’ to landing job

“I basically said the interest I would have is to do it right and everybody has their own version of what right is, for me, is complete control of my staff and all those things that go with it,” Clark said. “I think maybe that was a hindrance. Once again, how far did we get down the path I won’t really say because I’m happy at UAB and this is where I’m at.

“For me, I said I would listen. That’s kind of where I’ll leave it. They’ve got a great place and a lot of these people are family to me.”

Clark’s “complete control” comment is sure to get the attention of fans of the Tigers and their rivals as Harsin begins assembling his new coaching staff on The Plains."

Fedora didn't care. Period. Exactly the wrong thing to say considering the circumstances.

Based on that, do you think he gave a crap about anything in Waco? Not good given what Matt Rhule and his staff was trying to clean in the wake of that mess. What was Dave Aranda thinking?
