    I watch a bit of Pac-12.

(Okay, it’s often what’s on TV when I get home from work and I can gamble on it.)

Oregon State seemed like they were just missing a piece for much of the season. Bad start in December. Couple ugly losses to Arizona and Colorado.

But they split against Oregon and they played everybody better than second time they met. Beat Colorado the third time.

That tells me they’ve got a damn good coach.

Thompson was always a good slasher and a guy who wanted the ball. Silva doesn’t do a lot on offense (he’s a throwback) but he alters a ton of shots.

There's been a lot of blood in this tournament.

I keep hitting the Oregon State moneyline to salvage days. We shall ride the Tinkle Train to the end.

I’ve never seen so many shitty pass attempts in the lane, guys trying to thread a needle through three guys. Every fucking time, that pass got picked off, it seemed. And every damn team does it.

I think we're just seeing it more because there's nothing else to look at between plays. Fans, signs, etc.

2 of 3 vs. Oregon. But who is counting?

The Pac-12 could have three or four teams in the Sweet 16, someone probably has to lose today. UCLA has a great chance. Oregon and USC have the best talent, the Ducks can shoot the lights out if they're on and USC's Evan Mobley is tremendous. Colorado is built for tournament play, physical, Battey is a beast and McKinley Wright is a star few have ever heard of.

Playing in relative obscurity really hurt the league seeding-wise, but I think everyone has a big chip on their shoulders. It's nice to see conference success without Arizona having any part of it.

My county has been on near-total lockdown for months. No in-person public school since last March, college classes all online, restaurants at 25% indoor capacity or all outside and take-out. Private gyms closed for several months at a time. This last week or so has really lifted everyone's spirits.

If Iowa and Oregon aren’t careful, people might actually like college basketball after watching this.

If Oregon keeps shooting well, Iowa is in big trouble. Chris Duarte is the best player a lot of people have never heard of, 11 Pac-12 coaches won't miss him at all next year.

Rarely watch college basketball during the regular season and usually not much post-season, either.

Having stated the above, the Illinois and Loyola of Chicago game was quite entertaining.
