    Yup. All Ben Howland did was get them into three consecutive Final Fours not too many years ago. They fired him.

    It's as if they won't stop firing coaches and chasing ghosts until someone walks into Westwood and delivers seven consecutive titles.

    Why do trailing teams with only 3-4 fouls never realize at the under 4:00 timeout that they need to get within 1-and-1 range so they don’t have to go into blind panic mode late?

    Usually too occupied with pushing the pace, jacking up threes and pressuring on defense to notice. And convinced that the previous issues will close the gap, eliminating the two-minute foulfest (which, along with coaches' timeouts and TV timeouts, stretch it to 15 minutes).
