Texas has to worry about the feelings of multiple squabbling oil billionaires. ETSU has to worry about the guy who owns the local Honda dealership pulling his courtesy cars when players kneel for the anthem. Theoretically these two schools are in the same athletics division.

Jason Shay: ETSU basketball coach resigns, perception is shameful

It's not just the perception that is shameful.

There’s no way UCLA beats Gonzaga tonight is there?.......I mean......no way?......
They got a good matchup with Michigan who has trouble scoring at times.......Zags have no such issues.

Just remember, THIS was not supposed to happen under any fucking circumstance.

But Gonzaga will win by 32.

That doesn't happen with a 30-second shot clock.

If you’ve watched any Bama basketball the past few years you’ve probably seen “Fluffopotamus,” the heavyset dude leading the student section who drew in TV cameras like a magnet thanks to his Wimp Sanderson tribute plaid jackets. Virtually everybody connected with the program is in mourning on Twitter, Nate Oats included.

I didn’t mention it the first go round because I wasn’t comfortable with the sourcing, but apparently he did die of Covid-19. Age 23, and went everywhere with the team, including all three games in Indy. About to be a lot of uncomfortable questions in these parts.

I gotta be honest. I assumed it was suicide because the cause was never discussed. Either way, it sucks.
