yeah this team is doing absolutely nothing in March Madness. No point guard, no real toughness inside.

Wild regulation finish in Coral Gables today. Hokies led the whole way. Choked away the lead and fell behind on tie-breaking 3-pointer with 2.5 ticks left. Caught a break when a hopeless in-bounds pass was knocked out of bounds with 2 seconds left. Guy comes off a screen that knocks two Hurricanes out of the play and makes a clutch, game-tying 3-pointer. Hokies win by four in OT.
The key shot shouldn't have counted. The shooter was out of bounds before letting it go. On the other hand, you can't fault the officials for missing the thing in real time. When you see the full-speed video, there's no way you'd think he was out of bounds. I don't think Larranaga made a fuss about it and he had the perfect view.
    Play not subject to review.

It was a weird game. Tech held Wong in check most of the day but he got going down the stretch. Up 11 in the second half, Hokies fouled a three-point shooter at least three times, and Miami came storming back. Cattoor was definitely out of bounds but as you said, impossible to see in real time. He also took a charge in the closing seconds of OT that essentially sealed the game. Massive game for him. That was a gigantic win for Tech coming off the loss at Pitt. Louisville up next for the Hokies next Saturday. Tech hasn't beating University-6 since I was a sophomore in high school in 1991. Seventeen straight losses.

Missouri’s near collapse against a Top 10 Bama is just the appetizer for its looming Elite Eight disaster finish against Creighton, innit?

Honestly: Save Gonzaga and Baylor, every high seed will enter feeling it can make the Final Four or lose in the first round.

    Dear Chapel Hill,

As much as you love to lob verbal jabs, bombs and worse at your rivals down 15-501 in Durham, why do you put your women in blue uniforms that look like they were swiped from an equipment closet in Cameron Indoor Stadium or Card Gym?

    Signed,

Like I've said before, if Carolina only had an instantly-recognizable school color at its disposal ...

... yet they gave NCSU the blues again. Third consecutive season. The better program the last few seasons has worn red, yet they can't get over this bump in the road. The funny part is that NCSU fans live for this rivalry.

Don’t know anything about him but good lord that’s awful. I don’t know how you just pick up and play the next game.

Not a good day in sports.
The Rio Grande Valley team can't be expected to play any time soon, but if ever such a pause were to be understood, this is the season. The management of the sport -- such has it is -- has been telling teams for weeks, "If you're out for a while, we'll welcome you back when you are able to return and we won't worry about the details." That would be in order in this case.
