I've only seen one twisting path like that before.

What better way to wrap up 2020 than a hurricane stumbling drunk all over Florida and the Gulf of Mexico?

We finally talked to my brother in law in Ocean Springs, Ms. He lives right on the bay, his house backs up to the bayou and is on sixteen foot stilts. His yard is three feet deep in mud and saltgrass. He kept power, because he has a generator, but still has not internet or cell phone service Zeta hit nearly two weeks ago. Neighborhood finally got power back a couple of days ago.

A boat came through his yard and took out the fence. He says that one more storm might be more than they can take.

And there's still a 'cane wandering around the gulf.

Awoke not just to the first rain since April but a lightning storm to boot. RIP fire season hopefully here in SoCal.

"Uh, on second thought, let's give Florida a double dousing."

My agility trainer still thinks we will have an outdoor class tomorrow morning.

Tropical Storm Isaac’s center went over the Keys in 2012, but rain bands stalled out over my town causing significant flooding so I am not taking my distance from this storm for granted.

Best thing about Eta so far is the wonderful breezy weekend that allowed me to open up the house. I imagine I'll be closing it up by Tuesday though.
