    One model I just saw has it going straight north up the Texas/Louisiana/Oklahoma/Arkansas borders.

    The main NHC model has it barreling into the Mississippi Delta in lower Louisiana sometime Monday, with the storm’s northeastern quadrant pushing a lot of water into Lake Ponchartrain’s eastern estuaries.

    This could be bad.

    By now, don't we have some idea which of these models are generally more reliable than others? Maybe throw a few to the curb? My cocker spaniel is adamant this is headed to Aruba; can I get my own tracking forecast?

    If the average path stays two states west of Alabama, I don't care which model they use.

    That's called a spaghetti model. It's still way to0 early to tell much more than that. I'd say if safe to throw out easterly or westerly extremes. Consensus will form in another day or so.

    Water's still too cold here in New England for super-destructive hurricanes, but this puppy could get us very wet over the weekend.
