As if the Yankees-Red Sox rivalry needs any more fuel to the fire ...

Maybe it is time to at least have batters, catchers and umpires wear masks. I'm not sure what else you do to improve the protocols. This thing is going to keep spreading through clubhouses and somewhat on the field.

Every time I turn around, the Marlins’ reaction gets dumber.

Just wondering: How many flight attendants, hotel staffers, &c. have also been exposed by the Marlins?

I don’t see a possibility where Rob Manfred keeps his job after this year

Depends. If they somehow complete the season and collect TV revenue to mitigate the disaster, the owners will keep him. Players have no say in this one.

I give MLB credit for trying. Was very cynical about it and they pulled it off for three days, which I suppose is commendable.

I just thought an industry drenched in math should have had a very clear risk assessment plan presented to the public.

As many others have said, we are returning to sports not because we have made progress -- we haven't -- but because we were bored and impatient and delusional and unwilling to accept reality.

Don't know. But if Dr. Birx throws out a first pitch, she'll have to wear 45.

Can't argue with that, though the MLS and a women's pro soccer league have managed to play in a bubble. The NBA just might pull it off, and the NHL may have the best chance of all by avoiding the U.S. altogether. But we might be learning in a hurry that a league traveling around the U.S. isn't going to work.
