There's not a risk pool out there quite like MLB umpires.

If you stand in front of a mirror and say "Derek Jeter" three times, Manky Jimmy will appear behind you and give a 45-minute lecture on why Jeter is the greatest baseball player of all-time.

Jeter, he’s so powerful he made one of the greatest players ever into a so-so 3B.

I hear on the sports radio that there are rumors of 'rona in Cincinnati as well.

Rob Manfred on MLB Network said they have a pool of extra players for such a contingency and he thinks they can keep things going.

“Pool of extra players ...” what’s the point? People aren’t going to tune in to watch laundry after a while. Just further calls the legitimacy of calling this a “season” into question.

The marlins have probably caused an (at least minor) spike in Philadelphia. Any other person coming from Florida into the northeast has to quarantine for 14 days. Why is this not true for baseball? Low case states should ban teams from Florida, Georgia, Texas, Arizona, and California from playing in their states. How smart was the city of Toronto for kicking the blue jays out for the season?

But the players in the pool try just as hard!

The weather was lovely, a far cry from the heat and humidity of home. The river right outside was a calm commercial.
