Why a bus and not a chartered plane? The bus has to be more dangerous to the bus driver than a plane would be for a pilot simply because of exposure time. Right? Is this punitive?

    Perhaps “Drumpf” can drive it!

If these guys are sick, that sounds awful on every level, for both them and any admin staff/drivers/etc.

I am really baffled by this. There are players on that Bus of Shame. The standard union agreement ensures, among other things, first-class travel and accommodations. I suppose this year's deal has a Trumpandemic clause that voids all of that. But wouldn't the team have to justify this by claiming it's safer than flying?

How would you like to get "volunteered" for that job?

I am still seeing spitting. Why is this not being enforced? It's a no-brainer.

Agreed. Seems completely counter-intuitive to me. Even with two drivers, that's close to 1,200 miles.

I can only think of a couple of logical reasons. 1. A "sleeper" bus allows the infected players to stay prone, possibly with medical attention readily available, whereas I don't know of a charter plane that handles multiple bunks, unless you're talking a military hospital plane.

    2. Disinfecting a bus is way cheaper than a plane. Maybe the Marlins' regular charter doesn't want to deal with it, or the team doesn't want to screw up their charter for the healthy guys.

And why does this sound like a terrible sequel to "Speed?"

Shane Bieber is the first pitcher EVER to strike out at least 13 in his first 2 starts of the season.

Not sure which is harder to believe, that ...

... or that 10 thousand people signed up to pay for Defecator on Day 1 in the middle of a global pandemic and national recession.

Unless they've built a mini-fortress around the wheel like I see on public transit.
