2020 MLB Running Thread

Both teams should have to sit for 10 days. Let their upcoming opponents play each other instead.

 

Well they are putting on the tarp but White Sox-Indians looked like they were heading toward a scene from The Fan.

 

Sorry, but no. It is absolutely unrealistic to expect them to just take the bean balls all season. Everyone who said it is fine for teams to throw at the Astros all season needs to understand this is the result. MLB did screw up by not suspending any Astros for cheating, but no way they can tolerate all the bean balls. It was always going to lead to a brawl, which creates a very real danger of spreading COVID. This is incredibly irresponsible behavior by everyone involved.

 

Actually, at fight was just another reminder that the game needs to shut down. We've already had outbreaks on two teams and now we've got two more teams being stupid enough to get into a benches- clearing brawl.

 

"Chinga tu madre" was a joke among gringos in high school but you better watch who you said it to.

 

Hope he had a good Book on Tape for the five-hour drive.

Yeah, I have to agree. It's not reasonable to expect the Astros to be the subject of target practice all season, even a short one. Someone's going to get a blown out eye socket or gonna eat a bat.

Astro's punishment was botched but this isn't tolerable on an extended basis.

 

I'll clarify, because teams shouldn't be head hunting. The Astros have to accept they bear the mark of a cheater and can't get pissed when people call them such. MLB is responsible for whatever shenanigans happens. They should have hammered Houston over this and any retaliation would have been less. They're just lucky they only have to deal with the Western teams.

 

Calling them cheaters and talking all sorts of trash is fine. Throwing at them all season? Not so much.
