A fun moment last night: The Seager brothers, Kyle and Corey, each homered for their respective teams. First time that's happened in MLB since 2001, and 10th time in major league history.

Seager brothers each hit home runs in Dodgers' victory over Mariners

Apparently the brothers had a wager on who would hit the first home run. Since they both homered in their second at-bats, it was considered a push.

I think you could make an argument that taking pitches to get a free pass in a blowout is also classless.

“They are up by 8 and he is working the count and playing lawyer ball. I’m running through my bullpen and they are giving the take signal.”

Agreed. Tingler needs to do a better job of having his guys' backs. The Rangers threw behind Machado, and he sounds like he was defending what they did to one of his players. How about just enjoy the way Tatis is tearing it up and understand he's going to want to keep swinging.

Woodward needs to shut up. If your pitchers don't want guys on the other team crushing home runs on 3-0 pitches, tell them to make better 3-0 pitches.

Last week the Phillies were ahead of the Braves 13-1 and won 13-8 thanks to that fireworks barge they call a bullpen. So the Rangers can kiss my ass with, “they already have a big lead.” We all know it just takes one pitcher who doesn’t have his best stuff coming in to erase that lead.

I expect major league baseball players to perform at a major league level. If your pitcher gets to a 3-0 count with the bases loaded against the other team's best player in a blowout, that's not on Fernando Tatis Jr. That's on 1) the pitcher, 2) the rest of the pitching staff, 3) the rest of the team, 4) the manager, 5) the general manager, 6) the owner.

Same thing with any other sport played at the highest level. There's no "mercy" rule if you're getting paid or getting a scholarship to play. If Kirby Smart can score 90 against Florida, that's not on Kirby Smart. That's on the UF coaches not having their team ready to play all 60 minutes. I fully expect any game that keeps score and standings to be played to its best ability, not some "unwritten" take the foot off the accelerator absurdity.

Stop rolling over and playing dead if you don't want to be mistaken for a possum.

How the hell wasn't Feller's second pitch a strike? Angel Hernandez behind the plate?

The Padres hit another grand slam today, this one from Wil Myers. I hope the Rangers' feelings weren't hurt too badly on that one.

What is it about Tatises and grand slams?

F-1 hits 2 grand slams in one inning.

Now F-2 gets shit for having the audacity to hit a bases loaded 3-0 pitch over the fence.
