They should have followed my advice and used the parking lots as clubhouses.

It was a great weekend having baseball back. Doesn't look like it's going to last.

The Marlins played an exhibition game in Atlanta last Wednesday, so there’s that. And how many of the Phillies should be tested and/or quarantined? They’re supposed to be playing at Yankee Stadium tonight.

There will be (and I think are already) people calling this an overreaction. Let’s flash back to early March, when we went from the Ivy League canceling its basketball tournament to Rudy Gobert testing positive to LITERALLY EVERYTHING IN SPORTS being called off in less than 48 hours.

Game was to be in Philly, not New York.

Right, but I think we know a lot more about the virus than we did on March 11. I certainly think canceling the games involving those teams tonight (and probably the next few days) is the right call. Not sure I'd bag the whole thing just yet, but new information could change my mind there.

How many cycles of this should we go through before we bag the whole thing? Can we assume these are healthy people getting mild cases with no long-term effects? Is this what “learning to live with the virus” looks like?

I certainly enjoyed having ballgames to which to listen this weekend, but I can’t think of this as a legitimate “season.” It’s just elite exhibition games. Is that worth the risk?

Can't argue with that logic either. Just saying we have a broader base of knowledge of the virus and how it spreads so I don't believe it's analogous to just say what was right on March 11 is what is right now. Shit, in late March we had people saying that they were disinfecting every grocery item they bought and taking a shower every time they left the house. Our understanding of the whole thing has evolved a bit since then.

    Yeah, I see that now.

Yankees may not even get to have a home opener.
